LEDA MONTEIRO

She has graduated in Music with specialization as Lyrical Singer by Paulista State University (UNESP) – São Paulo, Brazil. She have studied with the Professors Carmo Barbosa, Carlos Vial and actually with Juvenal de Moura.

Awarded "MEDAILLE D'ARGENT" by the "ACADEMIE DES ARTS, SCIENCES ET LETTRES DE PARIS" for relevant services rendered to the arts and culture.

Received the Awards DESTAQUE BRASIL 2015  and ESTAS MULHERES MARAVILHOSAS  2016 promoted by COLUNA DESTAQUE  and motion of Applause by the city of Taubaté.

Attended INTEGRATED VOICE TRAINING (FIV 2011), developed by the Center for the STUDY of VOICE – CEV – São Paulo – SP.

 Was COUNSELOR VOCALS of the choir of the Jacarey Cultural Foundation-Jacareí-SP and SINGING TEACHER-SCHOLAR in the SCHOOL of MUSIC and arts MAESTRO FÊGO CAMARGO – Taubaté-SP.

 She has been performing as a soloist in many lyrical concerts in São Paulo Municipal Theatre and other cultural spaces of São Paulo City, like Art Museum (MASP), Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), Museum of Brazilian Sculpture (MUBE), Cultural Center Brazil Bank and Campos Eliseos Palace. In the same way, she have been performing religious concerts in catholic and protestant churches in São Paulo City and in other large and medium hinterland cities.

 Her repertoire includes Sacred Music (masses, cantatas and oratories), Lieds (Schumann, Schubert, Brahms) and songs of different countries, like Italy (Rossini, Tosti), Span (Lorca, Sor), Brazil (Lacerda, Villa-lobos, Mignone), among others (Dowland, Britten, Berio).

 She has performed many Opera characters, like “Rusalka” (Rusalka – Dvořák), “Contessa” (Le Nozze di Figaro – Mozart), “Suzel” (L’amico Fritz – Mascagni), “Vivetta” (L’Arlesiana – Cilea), “Amelia” (Simon Boccanegra – Verdi), “Venus” (L’Egisto – Cavalli), “Desdêmona” (Otello – Verdi), “Suor Genovieffa” (Suor Angelica – Puccini), “Poppea” (L’incoronazione di Poppea – Monteverdi), “Erste Dame” (Die Zauberflöte – Mozart).

Has participated in OPERAS and concerts in productions of various theaters of São Paulo-capital and interior, such as: TEATRO MUNICIPAL DE SÃO PAULO, TEATRO SÃO PEDRO-PEDRO II THEATRE in SÃO PAULO-RIBEIRÃO PRETO, TEATRO MUNICIPAL DE NITERÓI THEATRE BRÁS CUBAS-SANTOS, PALÁCIO DAS ARTES – BELO HORIZONTE.

Joined the Chorus of Theatro Lirico Municipal de São Paulo, where he participated in several operas such as: Colombo, Samson and Delilah, Tosca, La Boheme, La traviata, Macbeth, Jenufa, Nabucco, Turandot, Tanhäuser, Il capello of paglia di Firenze, tales of Hoffmann, Cavalleria rusticana, Pagliacci, Butterfly, Manon, Andrea Chenier, La Gioconda, La forza del destino, Il guarani, Eugenio Oniéguin, Tosca, Fallstaff, Olga, Lohengrin, Romeo and Juliet.  In these productions he performed under the baton of great conductors such as: Enio MORRICONE, Julius RUDEL, Isaac KARABTCHEVSKY, Roberto DUARTE, Roberto TIBIRIÇÁ, Luis MALHEIRO.

Currently divides his activities between performances in recitals and ministration of singing lessons, in the newest core of classical music-vocal and instrumental of the city of Taubaté, the SINGING STUDIO "VOICE on the SCENE".

Celebrated in September 2015 its Lyric – "Silver 25 years of Lyric Trajectory", concluded with his CAMEO in the SEMANA DE ARTE DO VALE DO PARAÍBA promoted by CULTURAL ARTISTIC ASSOCIATION "OSWALDO GOELDI".

Has been developing along the PRESERVA TAUBATÉ GROUP, CIRCUITO ERUDITO NO PATRIMÔNIO HISTÓRICO, bringing classical music to the historical buildings of the city of Taubaté. 

 Promoted the event of celebration and awareness of the 1st INTERNATIONAL WEEK OF VOICE, held from 14 to 16 April 2016 in Taubaté, with lyrical artists of the city concerts, lectures on specialized professionals in voice and actions among the population for orientation and awareness of the proper use of the voice, vocal health, professional training for singers, etc.
